District News:
Visitor Management System:
We're excited to announce the implementation of a new visitor management system across the Parkland School District, designed to further enhance the safety and security of our students and staff. All visitors will be asked to present a valid state issued driver’s license or state issued identification card upon entering our buildings. This simple step allows us to maintain a clear record of who is present and ensures a secure learning environment for everyone. Upon check-in at the main office, you'll receive a visitor badge to be worn during your time with us, and we'll ensure you're escorted to your destination. Our visitor management system ensures regulatory compliance and efficient visitor check-out. Staff will collect and shred visitor badges at checkout to maintain confidentiality and security. We appreciate your partnership in this effort, as your cooperation is essential in creating a safe and welcoming space for our school community.
25/26 Student Placement:
Our priority is to create the best possible learning environment for every child. To achieve this, we focus on composing classrooms based on a variety of factors and are unable to accommodate specific teacher requests. Parents have unique insights into your child's social, academic, emotional, and physical development. If you have any information you feel is crucial to your child's success, please share this by email with the school principal by May 15th. While we appreciate your input, requests for specific teachers cannot be honored.
CAC Meeting:
Please join the Parkland Community Advisory Council at their monthly meeting next Thursday, March 20th at 7 PM. This meeting will take place at the Parkland High School and the topic is "10 Things You Didn't Know About Parkland School District" presented by Mr. Eric Roberts.
